This Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month I’m going to walk and run for ovarian cancer research. My goal is 350km for the month, this is roughly the distance from Townsville to Cairns.

Cure Our Ovarian Cancer is dedicated to finding a cure for low-grade serous ovarian cancer – a rarer subtype. My subtype.

Please help by giving whatever you can using the ‘donate’ button or even better sign up and challenge yourself. The more people that know about Step Up for Ovarian Cancer, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Update: So we are almost half way through September and I am at 140km. I am on tract to reach 300km for the month but reaching 350km is going to be a bit tougher. I set my goal high as I wanted the motivation after losing a lot of fitness after 6 months on chemotherapy. I didn't expect to be started on a new medication that causes fatigue so this is going to be even harder than I first anticipated.

The team have been doing great, I am very proud of everyone's collective effort. I am so impressed with the support and donations that have come through so far, keep them coming as we need more research.

Thanks Alisha
