Led by big-sister Elsa, Team Kristen is endeavouring to hike to the top of 5 of the Glasshouse Mountain peaks! Elsa is also challenging her team to bust out some Irish jigging on each 5 summits.

“The Step-Up challenge allows you to choose your own challenge, so as someone who has not done much hiking, I wanted to choose something that would challenge myself physically. These mountains are an iconic part of Queensland and I know the beautiful views from the summits will be worth it!

From the age of 5 I learnt and competed in Irish Dancing and Kristen was always there to support me. It has been years since I danced, so this will be an added physical challenge but will also bring a lot of fun and laughs to the adventure. I’m looking forward to putting together this team, and just doing something different to raise awareness and funds! Kristen would definitely be having a good chuckle right now.”– Elsa

The Glasshouse Mountains are an iconic cluster of mountains located on the Sunshine Coast hinterland of Queensland, about an hour’s drive north of Brisbane and are actually the remnants of volcanic activity that occurred about 25-27 million years ago.

Did you know that 4 Australians are diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer each day and that 3 Australians die of ovarian cancer every day?
