Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 2020
February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in Australia.
Every day 4 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and 3 women will die in Australia.
That’s too many. Cure Our Ovarian Cancer is dedicated to improving the survival of women with low-grade serous ovarian cancer.
Download our symptoms poster and share it at work and with friends.
First Australian research grant
Cure Our Ovarian Cancer is on track to fund the first Australian low-grade serous ovarian cancer research grant with our charity partner ANZGOG. Research is essential to improve the survival of women with low-grade serous carcinoma. Read about our visit with internationally respected Australian low-grade serous research Professor Anna deDazio. We particularly want to acknowledge the generosity of an Australian family foundation who wish to remain anonymous. They donated an incredible philanthropic gift of $10 000 in honour of Kristen Larsen’s Living Legacy. Bringing the total raised to over $40 000.

Ovarian Cancer Podcast launched
Diagnosed at just 21 years old. Low-grade serous woman Kristen Larsen spent her life advocating for ovarian cancer women and research. Tragically she died in December 2019. Ovarshare was her final advocacy project.
The Ovarshare podcast is a collection of powerful and inspiring young women. Their stories touch the heart, inspire, and give valuable insight into the multifaceted life of ovarian cancer. Three of the women interviewed – Kristen, Elly and Shauna had low-grade serous ovarian cancer.
