Australia Step Up for Ovarian Cancer

September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month
Four Australian women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every day. Women with low-grade serous ovarian cancer tend to be younger, and with current treatments their cancer is often incurable.
That is why this September we are asking you to Step Up for Ovarian Cancer. We are challenging you to walk, run, cycle - it's up to you. Be active and raise vital funds for research to find better treatments to help women live longer.
Visit our Step Up page hosted on our Australian Charity Partner ANZGOG's fundraising site WomenCan to learn more and sign up.
100% of the funds raised go to low-grade serous cancer research.
Alisha's Story

"I was just 27 when I was diagnosed with low grade ovarian cancer. Overnight my life changed forever." "My life is now full of scans, chemotherapy and other treatments."
"In the midst of this I try to keep active and find enjoyment in the present. Research is hope. Hope for clinical trials and new treatments to extend and save the lives of women like me"
"I'm not ready to stop living. Please help spread awareness this 'September' and fundraise for research to give women like me more time." - Alisha
Tips to Choose Your Challenge
- Choose an activity - walk, run, cycle (or something else!)
- Measure your activity - in time, or steps or distance or destination
- Decide if you're going to do it one day, some days or every day in September
- And remember - it's not what you do, but why that matters the most. You'll be helping fund crucial research to help women live longer.
In 2020 we raised an incredible $16, 536 for low-grade serous cancer research during September. You walked, and ran, hiked, climbed mountains and shared our great cause.
