Jane and rafters on the Clarence River

Rafting for Research

In by Jane Ludemann

The thought of rafting for 5 days scares me but not as much as this cancer! Help me raise funds for research.

On the 16th of January I am joining friends to raft down the Clarence River with Ultimate Descents.

5 days and 190 kms – quite the challenge!

If you know me – you’ll know I’m not the greatest swimmer and to be quite honest the thought of rafting scares me quite a bit! But cancer scares me more. My health is increasingly precarious. But life is for living so I’m going to make the most of this experience.

I’d be grateful if you could make this trip count even more by supporting my fundraiser for research.

Background: Two and a half years ago I was diagnosed with stage 2 low-grade serous carcinoma at the age of 32 years old. I’ve had two major surgeries and been on continuous treatment since. With current treatments my doctor’s estimate my life expectancy at 5 to 15 years. Which is why I’m fundraising for research to find better treatments. Go to janehascancer.com to read my story.
