2019 was a tough year. Help make 2020 better for me an many others battling Ovarian Cancer.
Well, what a year 2019 has been. I’m celebrating my 35th Birthday this month and it’s a bittersweet because I’m grateful to be here, but also worried about my future.
As you may already know I was diagnosed with a rare, frequently incurable form of Ovarian Cancer back in February. This type of cancer typically effects women in their 20’s-30’s and although a few women enter remission, for 85% the cancer will eventually reoccur. My cancer has spread to other parts of my body now which means I have stage 4 cancer and while my current medication has kept the cancer stable there’s no treatment available that has been proven to shrink the tumours.
Sadly low grade serous carcinoma is chemo resistant and currently, there’s no reliable cure. We can change this…
For my Birthday this year the best gift you could give me is a shot at more birthdays to come. I appreciate that Christmas is an expensive time of year but if you can afford to spare any small amount your donation will help fund research that focuses specifically on low grade serous carcinoma. This gift would not only benefit me but also many other women around the world.
If you want to help but you simply don’t have the money then you can also lend a hand by creating awareness, spreading the word and sharing the link to this charity with your friends and family.
Thank you so much for all your support so far this year. Wishing you all a very happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.
