For my 45th birthday, please help fund research to cure low-grade serous ovarian cancer.
For Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month (September) and my birthday (Oct. 6), I’m raising money to fund early screening and a cure for ovarian cancer.
I was diagnosed in April 2020 and had three rounds of chemo before surgery in June to remove my entire reproductive system along with three large tumors. It turned out that the tumors had not responded at all to the chemo because I have a rare type of cancer called low-grade serous ovarian cancer.
It was stage four, even though I could not feel a single symptom that hinted anything was wrong. There are no early screening tests for ovarian cancer. You can have mammograms and pap smears every year, and ovarian cancer still goes undetected. Both high- and low-grade ovarian cancers are likely to recur.
Please spread the word to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and find a cure. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
